Some slight rearrangement after trimming and getting new plants.
Shots taken with F2.8 to give a narrower depth of field. Glad I am able to attain higher shutter speed to freeze the fishes in motion. |

Full view will reveal other stuffs like pipes and stuffs, I prefer to omit those filter equipments.
This view actually gives 70% of the entire tank size only. |

i like the overall look, gives a refreshing feeling. and it does not look 2 feet, seems bigger.
you are able to have so many fishes and plants without the need of soil. wouldn't there be lots of shit given out by the fishes. how to solve the problem of waste. what is your filtration like. |

Actually its only 50x30x50cm.
The advantage of my simple setup gives me the upperhand to clean out the waste during weekly water changes from the bottom of the tank as my plants and stuffs can be shifted around easily. I am using a canister filter, the smallest type. Atman 3335. Water change is about 20 to 30 percent every week. And plus I over stock the plants, so I gather the water parameters should be ok. So far very minimal casualties in my tank. It has been quite stable for the past few weeks already so see how it goes if the tank matures well. |

Hah! If you are on a budget. Try the Nikon D40, you can get around 1k or below from Cathay Photo or John 3:16.
Check it out yourself. |
