Gold Crossback questions
Hi sitfus out there, I have a few question to ask.
1) Am I over feeding my Arowana - 1-2 meals a day - per feed 5 BF + 10-20 SW Current size of Arowana is approx 13-14" 2) Any sumo potential at this feeding rate and current size. (Wondering if grooming sumo Aro need to start young) 3)Spoonhead or not consider? Thanks in advance! Video of stomach

You are shortening the fish life if you overfed it

You got to go slow and steady bro. Controlling the diet is good for healthy growing, be patience. Pumping this way might cause the Aro to stop eating one day and you will regret...hope it helps...happy aroing...

Bro, you better dunt overfeed your aro. My suggestion is 1)dunt feed too much living things since some of them may cause microbism. 2) Actually 1 meal / day is enough, like 7/10 full of their stomach. It can help your aro grow up healthly and in a nice body shape.

Thanks for all the nice words.
I have not tried to feed him until fully until he doesn't want to eat.. So usually I see his stomach too big then I stop Liao.. |

looks very ok frm the video.. at this stage, just feed more so they can bulk up quickly, thereafter, can slowly cut down if u think they are out of shape.

If sumo is not an original trait in arowana, then it's artificially created by mankind thru ways & means that is detrimental to the health of the fish just like all of us know that obesity is a cause to many sickness. |
