I have a similar looking ray. I was told it was a motoro x henlei but no one can say for sure.

rd i dont think you will get a definate answer as mantillas and so many other hybrids look like this. i dont really see henlei in the tail but who knows. its a shame that he lost part of his tail though. if your going for the black motoro mix try picking up a leo/moto next time. they are alot easier to identify if your concerned on the parentage.

Thats a beautiful ray. I've seen imports from Thialand that were "henlei x motoro" that looked very simalar. But I agree with Jeffers, trying to figure out what these "sp." rays are is next to impossible.
Great looking fish whatever they are. |

Not too concerned about the parentage. It was a cheap buy due to the tail and was in poor condition when I bought it. He's getting to be fat and sassy now. I plan on breeding him with my female marble motoro x pearl. That may change if I get my hands on a black ray.

Just ordered leo. Guess this plan changed sooner than I thought.
