Just transferred about 10 cherries about few hours ago. They are swimming around. Dropped 1-2 food sticks n they seemed eating now. Doing quite welll....

Why would you want to lower PH since you are keeping cherries? pH 7.0 or slightly higher is fine for cherries isn't it? KTP leaves only made the water brownish. Unless you like dark or brownish water, it just doesn't seems to go. I rather have clear water so I can appreciate my shrimps better.
For me, I just redo a tank recently and used water from other tank. Risk is, if water from older tank has problem, the problem will be transfered to the newly setup tank. Using UV light helps get rid of some germs/bacterials that may not be good for shrimps. (just noticed, there are more and more pple into UGF these days) |
