"You can opt out of the contribution by going to the CDAC website and download an opt-out form."

If you wish to, you can opt out even though the amount is small, it is not ethical for them to have so much in reserve. The reserve appears to be invested in instruments to gain profits, similar to what a few Town Councils did that lost money.

$4k/mth for management staff is indeed not a lot... but.... like others shared, the top gets the cream, the bottom clears e shit and paid miserably.

The gov made this $1 contribution seems 'compulsory' and have been milking citizens. So, can we all cancel our payments? But than there are those less privilage who really benefitted despite the high overheads....

I too, don't agree with 40% towards salary and administration. It shdn't be more than 20%.

Yup >40% on staff costs... then what about office rental and other expenses....

Think the money that spent on the needy will be less than 50% liao....

Well they better do something about releasing some of that reserve to better the lives of the less fortunate. What's this idea of squirrelling away people's monies what are they trying to achieve?

Are there any benefits for contributing to CDAC?

What are the penalty/punishments/disadvantage for opting out?

I even think, 60-70% goes to the wrong cause! Would their office be very basic, or one that is well renovated? Mind them, these are public funds and we deserve the rights to dictate that the money shd be put to better use. There are a good amount of Singaporeans who are struggling. I'm not saying the average, but the bottom 10% that are covered up.

Why don't the gov come up with a policy, that no more than 20% of funds can be used for administration and operations?? $2mil to run the org, that should be sufficient. They shd be run, LEAN!

I am also curious. I will consider opting out. Rather give directly to pple that will benefit than to such.

The amount from each individual is very small, but it's the wrong way of managing people's monies. the idea is to help the less fortunate, why can't they stick to the original mission and objective of raising the funds in the first place?
All these years, new buildings pop up with fancy architecture and all using tax monies that come from all of us. What's diff between them and NKF?
