Default tigrinus catfish

hi. got a tigrinus catfish 5inches. did some research already. will appreciate if i could hear some inputs from experienced tig keepers. thanks. 😀

recently got some tig as well. Surprise that they are not picky eater.

But yiur aiming have to be very zhun haha. Seems to me the smaller ones don like to swim around to find food.

I kept it from 6" t0 12" before I sold mine.

well vertical is norm stress. esp in bare tank.

put some drift wood big ones where it can sit below it . so call sheltered.
it will be more calm.

tig dun really like to swim. only when dim lights or off lights, it will start hunting

If u really like always swim ard kind.
will be lince or vulture cat sort of. those love to comb tank for food.

by the way yes they grow fast.
but dun feed till bloated. they common to sudden death by overfeed.

and dun sudden scare them. sudden off lights...
wait bang glass also deadly or nose bend then not nice.

Thanks for the advise. I was feeding them till bloated almost everyday!

Will cut down...

Yes i think again now, it should be stress. Got alot of scary fish in the bottom. Thats y it dont go down. I will try to move it to another tank once it grow bigger :-)
