Bro thanks for the website and I was shocked with my bills last month when the pub change the electricty, water & gas meter outside our house and the bills shoot almost 20% up as compared to our average consumption over the past years !!! I wonder if anyone experienced the same as few of our neighbours also complained about this huge increase.

In the old days, you can see many households has a small glass of water on top of the electricity meter box to act as electricity stabliser so that the meter wont do 100 meter dash. Today if you do it, NEA officer will come knocking your door.

How effective that small glass of water to save electricity, i dunno.

I think, I might be wrong.... Most gadgets will just try to correct the power factor be it inductive or capacitive loading to maximize power transfer... I doubt you will have plenty of savings. Want to save? Ask PUB to reduce the rates.

Glass of water? First time I heard of this... Any theory behind this? Or is it just some old wife's tale
