CLARIFICATIONS ON RULE NO. 5
Participants must ensure that their fishes are of the correct size as entered for each class during bench-in. 2 demerit points will be deducted from the total score if the fish is found to be of the wrong size. This penalty is to prevent participants from entering class C fishes into Class A and B in order to get bigger tanks for their fishes.
This rule will apply only to Class C fishes (less than 16cm in total length)which has been entered wrongly into Class A or B.
- If a Class A fish (more than 23cm in total length) is entered into Class B or C, no demerit point will be given but the fish will be judged together with the Class A fishes.
- If a Class B fish (16cm to 23cm in total length) is entered into Class A or C, no demerit point will be given but the fish will be judged together with the Class B fishes.
- If a Class C fish (less than 16cm in total length) is entered into Class A or B, the fish will be given 2 demerit points (i.e. 2 points will be deducted from its total score) and the fish will be judged together with the Class C fishes.
- Measurement of fishes will be done during the bench-in. The fish will be placed in its assigned tank and it will not be shifted to another tank if it is found to have been entered for the wrong Class.
- If your fish is currently 15cm in total length and you are not sure whether it will grow to 16cm or more by bench-in time, it is advisable for you to enter it into Class C. This is because if the fish is found to be oversize during bench-in, it will be judged together with the Class B fishes but it will not suffer any demerit point.
