How big is your tank? Plants? Fauna? Lightings? 5 Otos is a lot if it's a small tank. They're going to starve if you don't have the right kind of algae for them. And if i'm not wrong, from observing my otos at work, I seriously doubt they eat those stringy type algae. Wrong mouth for it. Remembered somebody mentioned in this forum about adding mollies to eat those algae, but that would depend on what other fauna you have in the tank as well.
