CLARIFICATIONS ON RULE NO. 5

Participants must ensure that their fishes are of the correct size as entered for each class during bench-in. 2 demerit points will be deducted from the total score if the fish is found to be of the wrong size. This penalty is to prevent participants from entering class C fishes into Class A and B in order to get bigger tanks for their fishes.

This rule will apply only to Class C fishes (less than 16cm in total length)which has been entered wrongly into Class A or B.
  1. If a Class A fish (more than 23cm in total length) is entered into Class B or C, no demerit point will be given but the fish will be judged together with the Class A fishes.

  2. If a Class B fish (16cm to 23cm in total length) is entered into Class A or C, no demerit point will be given but the fish will be judged together with the Class B fishes.

  3. If a Class C fish (less than 16cm in total length) is entered into Class A or B, the fish will be given 2 demerit points (i.e. 2 points will be deducted from its total score) and the fish will be judged together with the Class C fishes.

  4. Measurement of fishes will be done during the bench-in. The fish will be placed in its assigned tank and it will not be shifted to another tank if it is found to have been entered for the wrong Class.

  5. If your fish is currently 15cm in total length and you are not sure whether it will grow to 16cm or more by bench-in time, it is advisable for you to enter it into Class C. This is because if the fish is found to be oversize during bench-in, it will be judged together with the Class B fishes but it will not suffer any demerit point.
