i would say as long as it is proportional to the body as well as other fins.
here are some definition of how an anal fin should be -
The anal fin has a trapezoid shape with the forward
(anterior) edge shorter than the rear (posterior) edge. The posterior tip
should be pointed. When flaring the rear edge of the
anal fin should overlap the lower portion of the caudal fin.
I think its quite hard to define an ideal standard for me, i certainly wouldn't want to have a collection of bettas with all the same finnage, just different colours
