it can be use in both submerged or water flow through.
We also recommed the shower system, The semi-air/water interaction will allows oxygen level to be maximised. This is important as one of the most important factor for successful bb to break down waste is oxygen.
An example of the show system is the multi-layered OHF (overhead filter)
