For buffering of PH I'm using coral chips. I think most bros here uses either coral chips or calcium carbonate. I think salt its self does not have any buffering effect, pls correct me if I'm wrong....

My 3 aros are all on superworms as their main diet and mp as treats. They have no issues with it. But I did heard ppl saying that some aro will develop protruding anal when feeding on a superworms...

Very high chance the culprit is the pacu. My pacu chew thru my pumps wire a few times alrdy giving me quite a bad shock. They are known to nip at tank mates fins so pls take note.:)

Have u tried to check the ballast or starter if there is any? Usually these are the ones which causes the problem if the tube is ok. Pretty easy to change.:)

I use mine to blow poo closer to the over/underflow as there is bound to have some dead spots in the tank hence the poo tend to get stuck in those spots.:)

I read about it in some forum sometimes back. It's not really about its toxicity but more of the secretion it releases as a form of defense which most earthworms does which is putting some fishes off...
