I personally like using wavemaker to break the surface for oxygen exchange.

just stick to silicon, no glue from glue gun. actually most silicon are safe to use. just make sure you allow ample time for silicon to fully cure. top up water and run for a couple of days and drain...

if got chance to use tank water then use. otherwise just use tapwater and rinse. matured BB colonies bounce back fast. reduce feeding for a couple of days for BBs to multipy.

yes yes.. please do not use ikea furniture for supporting fish tanks. i learnt my lesson. though it may look ok initially, the board will sag after some time and it's a matter of time the tank comes...

Just a word of caution. i once slipped and fell with a full pail of water. landed right on top of the pail and hurt my ribs pretty badly. do take extra precaution such as placing towels on the floor.

i don't think it's imbalance of weight. could be just 'that' lemon tank. see what tank maker says.
