It is quite fun, and you don't really need to do much, just wait for the veg to grow and harvest. They do taste better, because they are sweet and crunchy and freshly harvested.

Some plants readily takes up ammonia, but I think those are more aquatic. These vegetables are use to take up nitrates. Anyway, there isn't much ammonia in the tank too.
