If you are breeding mollies and you know the fish are healthy then there should be no problem. The problem will be trying to get them off live fish.

Sorry to hear they looked like very nice rays.
I always recommend 50% WC and add some salt (probably would not have helped if indeed a kidney problem). Also Prazi Pro is good to keep on hand.
