Yes is Ok. As long as your rays don't get in direct contact with the salt crystals can already. Slowly add and let it dissolve first before adding more.

Yes agree with itchy. I have 3 heaters all set at different temperatures (25-28 deg) but actual water temp. for all 3 tanks is 30 deg. Have to use thermometer to calibrate actual temp.

You need to prime the pump by filling the pipes with water. Can do that by pouring in water from the outlet pipe. Once the pipes are filled, the pump will work normally. :)

How's the flow rate after you submerge?
