My ammonia is currently 0, but the nitrites and nitrates are not. Nitrites is 0.5 and nitrates is 20.

Shouldn't the 3 elements be 0 after nearly a month of running them?

bought the hydra 40 for a month, the nitrite goes high at 40ppm. it has been running for 4 weeks

ammonia is low and so does nitrate too.
