First Timer's 3x3x1.5 Planted Fish Tank
Hi All,
First timer in aquarium related stuff and still learning. It is a 3x3x1.5 tank, integrated with my shoe rack (did it during reno). Only started on it in mid jan this year. Filtration: Eheim 2026 Lighting: Aquazonic T5 4x24W (2ft due to design, max size fittable is 2ft) Adding another 4x24W soon CO2: was using Jebo A192 electrode but changing to CO2 tank with ISTA Max Mix reactor sometime this few days. Base Fert: 2 x 4.7kg Sera Floredepot Substrate: 3 x 10L Controsoil Fishes: 4 x Clown Loaches 5 x Sterbai Corydora 20 x Neon Tetras 9 x Pink Zebra Danio 10 x Red Koi Swordtail 4 x Bubble Pearl Gourami A few yamato shrimps Plants: Lost track of IDs :o The tank was designed and built when I had no knowledge and ideas about aquariums and the 3ft depth made it very difficult for me to perform planting. The bullet design also made it difficult for me in creating depth without sacrificing viewing from all 3 angles. Hope this is not too much of an eye sore. :o |

Interesting bush like plant, no idea what it is

I like your idea of the "kelong" for the floating plants.
The bush plant don't look like an aquatic plant. You had it for long? Is it growing or is it starting to yellow? |

I'll give it a couple of week and let u know. :p |
Bro why not try doing a scape with the focus in the middle? then your fish can swim in circles and you don't need to worry too much about unbalance.

i dunno, but i feel that it's abit too 'messy' with so many different types of plants.. like no focus?

Thinking about that right now. Probably will look for a decent driftwood that can suit the tank, wash it until leeching is mininal then rescape the centre region. |
