What is the best way to clean aquarium?

Should I use bleach water and rinse thoroughly or is there a safer, better product that people use for this?
Thanks.

If there are stubborn stains, you can try Melamine Foam. There is a thread by Koji in the tank set up forum.

Not sure what do you mean by "clean". Are you referring to getting rid of dirt and stain or sterilize.

Which ever case, using of household bleach is a no no.

I third to Melamine Foam, if really stubborn stains, can try using a new penknife and slowly try to scrub it off.

No bleach for aquarium bro.....strictly no no.....will leave traces of harmful chemicals and you will not be able to keep livestock.

Hi I noticed melamine foam is kind of coarse, will it actually cause any scratches on the surface of glass or acrylic overtime?
