Cichlids Pearl Scale

Hi All,
Someone can guide me where to get picture of the Male and Female Peral Scale.
Try many website just the fish only.
Bought 2 pcs not sure male or female.
Please advice

i think you are referring to the Texas cichlid.
not easy to sex when they are young.
it is said that females have a black patch on dorsal fin.

The fish is about 3 inches.
can tell more what to look out

Usually for american cichlids, the males grow faster, bigger and more mascular.

For your advice buy 1 pc that the dorsel had black patch
Is female. Now had a pair.
