Ronaldo coming home?

KeeHuat 28-08-2021 01:34 AM

Did not expect this, came out of the blue!

UNITED CONFIRM RONALDO AGREEMENT

Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.
In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester.

I was hoping he sign for us rather than city and it really came true. I was just telling my worker why man utd never step in. After seeing that he is paid 480k per week it may unbalance the team :o

KeeHuat 28-08-2021 01:58 AM

Now it's really time to sell Martial.

When I tried United's website earlier to find out the official news, it had crashed due to overload.

Don't know which source is correct but MEN states:
"BREAKING: Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo have just agreed personal terms on a contract for £270,000-a-week. Agent fees as well are all agreed.
(Source: MEN)"

Sales of his merchandise will outweigh his salary. Plus with his imminent signing, stock of Manchester United rose by 8% which is more than $300million
So it is definitely a sound financial decision. Plus fan base would increase by the millions. Just imagine when he signed for Juventus from RM, fan base increased by 40million. BF and SAF played a big part in this deal

lenghan 29-08-2021 02:26 AM

Anthony Taylor just gave Liverpool the advantage. Penalty YES but RED CARD not the correct decision in my opinion cos it was a ball to hand and not a deliberate block

KeeHuat 29-08-2021 11:58 PM

United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire (c), Shaw; Fred, Pogba; Sancho, Fernandes, James; Greenwood.

Substitutes: Heaton, Lindelof, Dalot, Mata, Lingard, Matic, van de Beek, Cavani, Martial.

In one of the interviews Ole said DVDB will have many games to play, but he'll still keep him on the bench

lenghan 30-08-2021 12:38 AM

Fred is absolutely awful

Liang_Zai 30-08-2021 12:39 AM

All the threat from wolves all come from FRED. Wtf men nearly cost us concede 3times knn

But the problem is Ole does not seems to be seeing what we see.
Sancho is non existent too
Wolves totally dominated the first 30mins

Sancho from the games he played so far like no impact. Dont say sancho, James also

lenghan 30-08-2021 01:22 AM

Ole need to make changes in the 2nd half.
Switch Pogba to the left, get DVDB to replace the position
Sancho to the right. Rather bring Matic in and replace Fred and James.

It is going to be a BIG ask for Ole to make changes though

lenghan 30-08-2021 01:59 AM

Fantastic double saves by DDG to keep us in the game
What does Ole sees in Fred that we are not seeing???

Liang_Zai 30-08-2021 02:09 AM

Greenwood score. Punishment for navas for trying to fake injury

lenghan 30-08-2021 02:33 AM

Fortunate 3 points. Wolves were the better side but unfortunately did not take their chances plus we have a world class goalie!!!
But who cares!!! 3 points is 3 points

lenghan 31-08-2021 01:49 AM

Leeds is reported to be buying Dan James for 20million and it looks like the deal is confirmed.
Hope with this sales we can get a proper midfielder

It was reported that Daniel James signed for Leeds for £25million who was signed from Swansea in 2019 for £15m. James had plenty of speed but the end product wasn't quite good.

All the best to him.

lenghan 01-09-2021 11:15 AM

And as usual we close the transfer with NO midfielders. We could have gotten Saul but I believe Ole is not in favour so he went on loan to Chelsea. This move I really don't understand when our midfielders are one of the poorest in the PL. Gambling on Saul (on loan fee only) would not really hurt us since we secured the sales of James

lenghan 02-09-2021 12:10 AM

DVBD's loan move to Everton was BLOCKED by Ole. What irony????
Still insisted that Donny has future with us and will have plenty of opportunities to play. Three premier league games later, Donny ZERO mins played whereas Daniel James started 2 of the 3 games even though his sales to Leeds was sanctioned by Ole. WTF is Ole trying to do....destroy DVDB's future???

lenghan 03-09-2021 05:23 AM

CR is officially CR7 after Cavani very gracefully gave up his number to CR7. Cavani will wear #21, the same number he wears for his country

KeeHuat 11-09-2021 10:24 PM

Man Utd team to face Newcastle: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Greenwood, Ronaldo, Sancho

Subs: Heaton, Bailly, Dalot, Lindelof, Fred, Lingard, Mata, Van de Beek, Martial

Liang_Zai 11-09-2021 11:26 PM

wan bissaka really a liability in attack slow down everything

lenghan 11-09-2021 11:58 PM

Well deserved lead...scored by you know who......CR7

jwhtan 12-09-2021 12:55 AM

Even Lingard scores lol

lenghan 12-09-2021 12:59 AM

2 CR7 goals and 2 PP assists
4-1 final score

lenghan 15-09-2021 02:53 AM

Ole is simply awful taking DVDB off after the first half when Fred was horrible. This confirm that DVDB has absolutely no future in the club as long as Ole is in charge. We are 1-0 up with CR7 scoring but Wan Bisaka saw red.
Instead of taking VL off and uses Varance, Ole is now using a back 5.
This will only encourage the opposition to attack and Ole is now trying to park the bus

lenghan 15-09-2021 03:12 AM

As expected Young Boys equalised when we are playing so defensively.
Only Ole in the PL would do such tactic

lenghan 15-09-2021 03:16 AM

Now Ole takes off CR7 and BF for Lingard and Matic??????
Should have taken PP off as he is now a mere passenger in the team
Not a single attempt in the 2nd half
From a 6&% possession Young Boys are swarming us like no tomorrow for the winner

lenghan 15-09-2021 03:40 AM

Last few seconds we conceded with a disastrous back pass by Lingard

lenghan 15-09-2021 03:41 AM

Lingard assisted in Young Boys victory with a back pass
We deserved to lose all because of Ole's game plan and substitutions
It is really frustrating to watch our team play so badly

KeeHuat 20-09-2021 05:28 PM

Yesterday confirmed what a really lousy referee Martin Atkinson is having watched his poor performances over the years. He should be taken off the list of EPL referees.

From Zero to Hero, this is football

KeeHuat 23-09-2021 05:48 AM

The squad depth isn't there. The play improved after Greenwood and Fernandes came on the the pace was faster.

Martial was still non-existent. Don't know what he was doing during the match. Sancho needs to get used to the EPL fast. Lindelöf still can't head the ball properly. Mata is past his prime. Telles is not aware of the opponents behind him. United's players were not strong enough and got brushed off too easily.

What to do when Ole does not give them much playing time. The exception is probably Lindelof (esp last season)
I truly sympathise with the current squad players now that we are out of this domestic cup cos in Ole's grand plan, they are never gonna play in the Premier League.
To me, the biggest disappointment is Sancho who has yet to show up. Probably overrated? Yet, we paid a high price. If only Ahmad was given the chances to play constantly, he would have outshone Sancho.
Last night, our forwards failed the team. Lingard was the biggest culprit, being the most selfish player. Either he is trying too hard or he is still not up to par.
I like the Matic/DVDB partnership in midfield, complementing each other well

KeeHuat 23-09-2021 07:21 PM

For the Martial supporters out there, he should just leave the club. He is a waste of time and money the way he has been carrying on match after match.
