I think everybody is now glad that ESL is dead and buried.

One thing I hope for, is all responsible parties to look back again at what's gone wrong with the game and how we can have it back.

First, too many meaningless and predictable games in the Champions League in the group stages.
Expanding the number of teams to generate more tv revenue is going to make it worse.

Second, transfer fees, agent fees and player salaries are spiralling out of control.
The clubs are hungry for more revenue, partly due to the owners' greed and partly due to the ever hungry demands from fans on new signings.

moscowblue 22-04-2021 01:09 PM

Joel Glazer also apologize but it will not mend the broken relationship back again.

Hopefully the 50+1 law will come out and force them to sell this club into the hands of the fans, just like those german clubs.

KeeHuat 25-04-2021 09:04 PM

United XI: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; Rashford, Fernandes, James; Greenwood.

Subs: De Gea, Telles, Tuanzebe, Bailly, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Van de Beek, Cavani.

Liang_Zai 25-04-2021 11:22 PM

James is dame rubbish today. Still can last so long?

lenghan 25-04-2021 11:39 PM

When Plan A does not work, we can expect Ole to remain stubborn and stick to his game plan. 80th min for him to make his first change!!!

Liang_Zai 25-04-2021 11:43 PM

Greenwood and Rushford keep hold onto ball for too long and Rashford is slow to 2nd ball recovery n will avoid sticking his leg out

lenghan 25-04-2021 11:47 PM

But Ole does not seems to see the way. 85th min for Cavani to impact the game???
And as usual DVDB has less than 4 mins of regular time too???

lenghan 27-04-2021 01:05 AM

Eric Bailly has signed a four-year contract extension at Manchester United, the club confirmed on Monday.

So does that means we will not be looking for another CB?
If Ole is still continuing using VL n HM what is the use of getting EB's extension done??? Only if either one of them gets injured/suspended?
With this extension, the Board may not sanction any new additional CBs

jwhtan 27-04-2021 07:18 PM

how much would Axel Tuanzebe cost if he is playing for say, Leicester or Aston Villa ?
He had Mbappe in his pocket when we played PSG away and then no more starts after that ......

obviously one swallow does not make a summer but then, at the very least give these players a run in the Cups ..... FA Cup, Carabao, Europa

we keep talking about right wingers, a problem we never get down to solving but we sold away Wilfred Zaha cheaply .........
It is not just about buying players .... but about coaching, and utilising whatever we have to its potential .....

If we dun buy Maguire, we blame the club for not splashing the cash ....
When we buy Maguire, we blame the club for buying the " wrong " player .... and then we need another centreback ......
then our existing centrebacks how ? sell away cheaply or let their contracts run down to zero value ?

loveikan 29-04-2021 10:13 PM

Haaland and Kane if he leave Spur?
Who will you go for?

I will vote for Kane, another good striker from Spurs again x 3. He has proven himself in EPL and Intl games.
20+ goals per season in EPL for 4 consecutive years.

lenghan 30-04-2021 04:56 AM

Horrific defending for the 2nd goal by VL and HM once again
We are 1-2 behind in the first half.
Yet another semi final disaster?
Get VL off for heaven sake Ole
But pretty sure Ole would make no changes when 2nd half kicks off

lenghan 30-04-2021 05:57 AM

Great 2nd half turnaround winning 6-2
Great performance from BF, PP and EC
Our attack was good but defense, big question mark!!!

KeeHuat 30-04-2021 06:35 AM

Good second half to score 5 goals without letting in any. Advantage to have a 4 goal lead to bring to the second leg.

moscowblue 30-04-2021 05:46 PM

Now for the Liverpool Match this coming weekend.

Hope Ole can put in a strong team to win and then rest the players for the 2nd leg of the Europa Cup.

KeeHuat 03-05-2021 12:02 AM

Man Utd starting XI: Henderson, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Fernandes, Greenwood, Rashford.

Man Utd protest LIVE: Liverpool match delayed after supporters invade Old Trafford pitch

Despite neither team having left their hotel, the Premier League has released team news.

lenghan 03-05-2021 12:18 AM

OT is under lockdown after fans invaded the pitch.
Hope the game is not postphoned or the club being fined by the FA
The police is still trying to clear the fans out of OT
Most impt is that this is aired world wide and put these American owners to a corner

lenghan 03-05-2021 04:03 PM

It is looking likely that the FA would award the match to Liverpool instead of rescheduling. But doubt if the Glazers cared the least.

lenghan 06-05-2021 05:42 AM

It is looking very likely that it will be a Man City vs Chelsea European Cup finals. Chelsea leading 1-0 against Real Madrid and looked the better side. RM far too slow in their build up taking too many touches

lenghan 07-05-2021 03:25 AM

Finally we are seeing DVDB and EB in the starting lineup tonite vs Roma.
Really hope they play up to the expectations most fans would love to watch
Rashford on the bench with Greenwood starting
Ole is certainly forced to make these changes cos we are having a very very busy schedule next week with games against Leicester, Aston Villa and Liverpool

lenghan 07-05-2021 04:08 AM

Very shaky start by the team
Being bullied by Roma in the first 10 mins
It is like only one team is playing football (Roma) for the first 20 mins now

lenghan 07-05-2021 04:32 AM

DDG is the only outstanding player that is why it is still 0-0
EB is having a shit game so far

lenghan 07-05-2021 04:42 AM

Against the run of play we lead 1-0
Good assist by Fred for EC to score
And almost immediately DDG produced a wonderful save to prevent Roma from scoring

loveikan 07-05-2021 04:57 AM

Living on the edge with Roma having so many shots on goals.
We were saved by poor finishings.

Also player like Bissaka ran the risk of having a 2nd yellow to miss the final.

lenghan 07-05-2021 05:23 AM

2-1 Roma leads
It should have been 4 0r 5-1 had it not been for DDG
EB is absolutely shit
2nd half first 15mins is same as 1st half. We are absolutely poor

lenghan 07-05-2021 05:29 AM

2-2
EC again this time assist by BF

loveikan 07-05-2021 05:53 AM

Fred aparts from his assist to Cavani is playing terribly poor.
Poor passing at the front and at the back too, putting the team in danger

lenghan 07-05-2021 05:57 AM

Final score 3-2. Roma broke our away record
Honestly poor performance overall
Roma were certainly the better team and had they took their chances we might see a 8-8 scpreline
Arsenal knocked out by Villareal

KeeHuat 07-05-2021 06:15 AM

Through to the final on aggregate losing the second leg 3-2. Roma had chances and De Gea made some good saves.

Fred trying to be too clever, lost the ball and Roma scored their second goal and lost the ball again later on. Telles and Williams were not good replacements for Wan-Bissaka and Shaw. Bailly a bit lost.

lenghan 07-05-2021 09:31 AM

The problem with Telles, Williams and Bailly, they were playing far too many matches to gel with the team and were indeed rusty, esp Bailly.
They probably had this mental block that even if they performed well, they will not be chosen. It is indeed a pity

loveikan 08-05-2021 05:36 AM

Lei thrashed by Newcastle

lenghan 08-05-2021 06:11 PM

In preparation for potential new signings, it is reported that Ole would be willing to part with DDG, Alex Telles, DVDB and Axel Tuanzebe

KeeHuat 09-05-2021 09:54 PM

Man Utd: Henderson, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Pogba, Rashford. Subs: de Gea, Bailly, Cavani, Mata, Alex Telles, Matic, Williams, van de Beek, Tuanzebe.

lenghan 10-05-2021 12:17 AM

Top 4 position almost certainly assured. Another comeback win away from home. But still worrying is the defense of VL and HM partnership

KeeHuat 10-05-2021 12:33 AM

Same assessment on Lindelöf who is really a weakling at CB, can't head the ball, gets muscled off the ball, and responsible for the 1st goal.

loveikan 10-05-2021 10:54 PM

Read that Cavani signed a one year extension.
A good role model to guide younger strikers

Hope with the "saving" from signing another striker can be allocated to a proper centreback and midfielder

lenghan 12-05-2021 01:05 AM

Starting XI
DDG, Telles, Tuanzebe, Bailly, Williams, Matic (Captain), DVDB, Elanga, Mata, Amad, Greenwood
On the bench,
AWB, PP, BF, DH, EC, SM, LS, VL, MR

It would do the team a great boost if this lineup wins
Like what Ole said, the organiser is making us to fail.
Ole is preferring to win against Liverpool

lenghan 12-05-2021 02:41 AM

Weakest player on the pitch is Brandon Williams whereas Amsd has been great. Very impressed with Matic so far

lenghan 12-05-2021 03:15 AM

Greenwood is probably the most fouled player on the pitch cos Leicester recognise how dangerous he could be

lenghan 12-05-2021 03:30 AM

Leicester certainly has been the better side against our youthful side but no shame to be 1-2 down
