Jialat. MR out for 6 weeks. or is it fake news?

RASH LATEST

Marcus Rashford is out for at least SIX weeks!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed before Man Utd’s defeat to Liverpool that his star man would be sidelined for a few weeks with a back injury.

But the gaffer has now revealed Rashford suffered a stress fracture against Wolves.

And he needs six weeks to heal – PLUS time afterwards for rehab.

Solskjaer confirmed: “Rashford? It’s a stress fracture that happened against Wolves.

“Unlucky for Marcus he’ll be out for a while. He won’t be back until after the mid-season break.

“Six weeks to heal and then some rehab after.”

That's the price for the club, or more precisely the Board.
When we had the chance to pursue Haatland, the Board felt we had enough strikers and allowed him to go on the cheap to Dortmund.
But honestly, do we???
Rashford is the only striker that can be relied upon. Martial can be brilliant, but only if he wants to (aka consistency) Greenwood ..still raw and needs more playing time. James who shone in early matches has now become pretty ordinary, other then his speed.
We are given the chance to chase Bruno but the Board feels we are being ripped off by Sporting (and why wouldn't they, knowing how desperate we are)
Fred still stands a chance...he is tenacious, but still a long way to go
AP....ahhh...forget about him
Pogba....a player that should be allowed to leave since he is not proud to put on the jersey.
SM.....should stay
Mata...gosh...over his prime. When he scored the winner the last match, OGS thinks he is rejuvenated (is he???)
Matic.....simply too slow and holds on far too long to inject any offensive play
DDG ..... WAS good before and we should not be dwelling in the past
Macguire .... decent but not truly commanding, Pretty meek as a captain on the field

The list goes on........

We are currently a top ten club, not good enough to challenge for even the top 4. The pundits had predicted 4-0 before the game.
The gap between us and the top teams are too wide. Losing this game wasn't unexpected.

Even Watford beat us 2-0.

One's lost is another one's gain. Hope Green wood can capitalise the opportunity during Rashford absence.

need a DOF fast to get rid of Woody and put him on what he is good at.

As for the urgent need on getting a exp striker

So true!!!!
While it is the correct course of action not to fall into the demands from Sporting who have raised their asking price to almost twice as much since last transfer, but we also need to look at the state we are in now. Are we in a position to haggle???
Unfortunately, NO.
So I can fully understand the frustrations fans are getting from the Board.
So far it has all been talk and no positive actions (with their now famous quote...waiting for the right player!!!) This is a joke

It depends on whether u want to recruit like Monaco, Ajax, Dortmund or like ManCity, Chelsea, Real Madrid
There is no right or wrong. Building with youngsters probably takes a longer process. But whichever way you go, you will still make mistakes.
We bought Harry Maguire for 80M. If we didn't buy, we'll be damned. When we buy, he is not worth the money. So really .... what do u want ?

Barcelona paid like 140M for Coutinho and it didn't work out for them
or Ousmane Dembele for more than 100M and he is still in the reserves.
Can we afford to go down that route ? Maybe we can .... well

Sporting lost again and this time to Braga.
And BF was like pulling back in this game to keep himself injury free . Sporting surely regretted it decision to play him.

I see your point. However, from the surface, we seem to be paying top tier money for second tier players. They are names alright, but not the mentality.

And to make it worse, we are treated like carrots because beggars cant be choosers. So either we overpaid, stood our ground but lose an asset we desperately need, or just drag till just before window close but still pay the ransom.

Something is wrong but only change is the manager but it did not stem from him

Ole is fighting a lonely battle to keep an unified front
