Could not afford to withdraw Rashford and Martial as it was a tight match. OGS did not make the same mistake this time which he did against Southampton by withdrawing Fernandes and Pogba who could hold the ball. When Matic came in he also could hold the ball. I think Greenwood is still suffering from the effects of the bad tackle from Romeu.

Tight decision for the offside for Palace's goal.

The only mistake is Lingard instead of James. Hardly contributed anything except running blindly. Since he had been targeted to leave OT why even use him cos he is simply useless for the longest of time

Shadow7 19-07-2020 03:42 AM

Lampard is trying to play mind games by calling Bruno a cheat and also suggesting that we were always favored by VAR  I hope we thrash them 4-0 again to shut him up

loveikan 19-07-2020 05:24 AM

We just need to play our own game and be positive against Chelsea in the FA semi.
If we sit back, we will be punished by the Blues.

Btw watching a nice FA semi between Arsenal adn MC.
The Gunners leadjng 2-0 with 70mins gone

Like their games vs Liverpool, Arsenal defence look rock solid.
Both their goals came from quick breakaway as MC dominated possession

Arsenal into the finals after winning 2-0.
The defence won the game for them

loveikan 19-07-2020 05:46 AM

Done.
A win for Arteta over his ex boss, Pep.
The commentator put it well, an Apprentice over the Sorcerer.

Let see how we perform against Chelsea in tonight's semi

Shadow7 20-07-2020 12:45 AM

We are level on points and goal difference with Leicester as of now as spurs are leading 3-0 at the moment but they are leading us on goals scored with 67 to our 63

For today’s match OGS has shuffle the pack going for a 5-3-2 formation

lenghan 20-07-2020 01:10 AM

The table I linked showed live all the goals scored for and against for all teams

KeeHuat 20-07-2020 01:16 AM

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Baily, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, Matic, Fred, Fernandes, James, Rashford.

Subs: Romero, Pogba, Mata, Martial, Pereira, Fosu-Mensah, Ighalo, Greenwood, McTominay.

lenghan 20-07-2020 01:54 AM

Final score Spurs won 3-0
They certainly did an Arsenal, parking the bus ala JM style

Shadow7 20-07-2020 01:56 AM

Shit my subscription doesn’t includes FA cup  Any link to see the match ?

Classic JM park the bus and swift clinical counters

loveikan 20-07-2020 02:02 AM

We just have to concentrate on our last two league games.

Btw Watford sacked N.Pearson with 2 games left. Will it come back to haunt them?

lenghan 20-07-2020 02:19 AM

Lately we have always seem to be starting the game on the backfoot and lacking any penetration.
Yet most pundits predict we will win this match

For the first 30mins very negative play by the lads and they have yet to take an attempt on goal

lenghan 20-07-2020 03:00 AM

Pretty long treatment for Bailly head injury after clashing with HM, hope it is not that serious cos he was all strapped up onto the stretcher

moscowblue 20-07-2020 03:02 AM

Poorly let in goal by us.

Wonder why the VAR did nothing for the Martial contact with Zouma:rolleyes:

lenghan 20-07-2020 03:03 AM

A very boring first half and rightfully Chelsea takes the lead after a scrappy goal. For me DDG was poor to protect the tame shot

loveikan 20-07-2020 03:18 AM

Another terrible mistake by DDG. Trailing 0-2

Damn poor concentration for both goals conceded.
Romero should have started since most of the FA games he played
But we can already guessed that at the end of the game, Ole will still give him full support

lenghan 20-07-2020 03:30 AM

I think Ole is making another mistake in trying to rescue a game lost by DDG. He is now bring Pogba and Greenwood into the game instead of focusing on the top 4 position in the league. Of course I would love to see us going into the finals, but we need to be realistic.
But throughout the game, Frank Lampard side is committing lots of fouls on our players esp on BF

loveikan 20-07-2020 03:40 AM

Poor selection to start with, allowing Chelsea to grow in confidence as the game progresses.

And yes surprised to see Romero not playing.

Sorry to say, Game Over
It should be a rude awakening for Ole cos such defeat can cause ripple effects for our last two games.
That is why I am surprised he brought in Pogba and Greenwood to rescue a lost cause,

lenghan 20-07-2020 04:12 AM

3-1 was the final score. We scored from a BF penalty
We certainly deserved to lose as most of our players played far below par. Yes after conceding 2 tame goals DDG made some good saves, but his lost of concentration demoralised the team

KeeHuat 20-07-2020 04:25 AM

What a poor and disappointing match. So many things went wrong.

OGS' mistake to change the formation, why play 3 at the back when they only had Giroud. This disrupted the 4-2-3-1 formation that the team was used to.

Poor passing, less energy than Chelsea, no movement up front, poor performance from many players. individual mistakes.

Lindelöf too weak could not hold off Giroud for the first goal. The other day he could not handled Obafemi for the equaliser.

Williams played a terrible cross field pass leading up to the second goal. What is blunder by De Gea letting in a soft shot for the second goal.

A match to forget.

The squad needs to be strengthened in the summer as some of the players are not good enough when the first eleven are not playing.

This is a wake up call for the last two matches against West Ham and Leicester.

Shadow7 20-07-2020 11:18 AM

A disappointing result but games are coming thick and fast so the boys have to pick up and go again for the last 2 PL games and also the Europa to look forward to. We really need to clinch a CL spot for next season.

Shadow7 20-07-2020 11:41 AM

Looking at the table as long as we avoid defeats for our last 2 games 2 points will see us thru...but of coz we would rather the team blaze thru the games and clinch the spot confidently...GGMU :)

moscowblue 20-07-2020 12:56 PM

I should say the FA cup was the least of our concern now.

We should focus on finishing at least 4th on the table, and win the Europa cup.

Last night game really CMI. Seems like the United of old (the one that was under LVG, Mou). Passing sideways and passing back to the keeper.

DDG really missed the 2nd goal. The 1st and the 3rd was abit unlucky.

But our forward line is clueless whole day. The inclusion of James for Greenwood did not helped abit. Rashford was like a lost soul too.

KeeHuat 20-07-2020 05:12 PM

Bailly had 2 clashes of head yesterday. How often does this happen in one match. He has suffered from injuries and now he's out injured again. Hope he doesn't become Jones the second.

Shadow7 20-07-2020 05:21 PM

We have to be very careful of westham as they are scoring for fun in their last few matches

Honestly I feel he does not protect himself whenever he goes for challenges. Really those dare-devil style but unfortunately to his detriments. He should learn not to be too reckless.

Next game vs West Ham. Our defence must be strong and not be bullied by their strong striker Antonio (esp VL).
Win and we are almost there cos we then can afford a draw game in the last game of the League with Leicester.
Chelsea still have 2 tough games before the end (Liverpool and Wolves)

moscowblue 21-07-2020 08:21 AM

Basically Chelsea game against Liverpool and Wolves may be easy due to the fact that both opponents have nothing to play for already.

Our game against WH may be difficult due to the fact that Moyes is returning and he may wanna wreak havoc to his former employers for letting him go too early.

lenghan 21-07-2020 07:39 PM

Let's see how Ole handle the West Ham game. He is now under tremendous pressure to deliver the positive results. JM is also trying to mess up Ole's mind by claiming Spurs did us a favour by beating Leicester.
Unfortunately for Ole, we only have our starting 11 to rely upon. Even with the starting 11, not all are playing well too. And to compound the problem, all the others on the bench are at best average players who may shine in one or two matches. This though is my personal opinion

moscowblue 22-07-2020 04:36 PM

Stop playing with 3 centre backs and we should be ok.

But our centre backs are really slow.

We need a fast central defender to partner HM, Tuanzebe is the best choice, but he is like another PJ always injured

KeeHuat 23-07-2020 01:08 AM

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Fosu-Mensah, Williams, Maguire, Lindelof, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Greenwood, Rashford, Greenwood.

Subs: Romero, Mata, Lingard, Fred, Dalot, James, Ighalo, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay.

We are playing the same formation as West Ham

lenghan 23-07-2020 02:50 AM

West Ham leads from penalty after PP handball.
Hope he recovers from this setback

lenghan 23-07-2020 03:09 AM

Wan Bisaka replaces Mensah for the 2nd half. It was his reckless tackle that gave the free kick and lost of concentration on the part of PP gave West Ham the penalty
