I'm currently treating with Ocean free 0'Anchor worm and fish lice.

upon looking closely, I can see some fines threadlike things on the tail, not sure if these are parasites, Will Oceanfree O Anchorworm and fish lice be able to get rid of these?

Too difficult to tell based on the picture. If the number of spot remains the same, then it could be due to the genes of the fish.

thanks, My Xbacks tail is a little small, I'm not sure when the tail part started to deform, but i think it only started. But i think there are threadlike worms on the tail?

do they look like fish lice? with a hard shell and crawling around? pic not too clear

From feeding feeders and such they come with lice... add salt and alot of aeration seems fine after awhile

thanks, They don't look like fish lice, they look more like threads at the end of the tail, with spots on the tail.

Just took some clearer pictures, Can see some pimple like growth at the edge of the tail a day after adding the anti parasite medication, but still not sure whats wrong with my arowanas tail.

hey bro~ not sure what it is but you might wanna try salt? and if the tank has ray...just disolve the salt first i guess...may buy you some time to figure out what it is...so far i dont really trust those alphabetic commercial medications :p only malefix and yellow powder works for me~ :)

I don't really know what they are but I have seen it on my friend aro before. He did not use medication at all but did 20% wc everyday and the white thread like substance slowly disappear. But the bad thing is the tail never grew nicely round but having alot of zic-zac shape just like those betta tail.:o
