Games in which Brandon Williams has started for Manchester United:

3-3 vs Sheffield United
3-1 win vs Brighton
2-0 win vs Burnley
0-0 vs AZ Alkmaar
1-0 win vs Partizan
4-0 win vs AZ Alkmaar
2-1 win vs Chelsea

United have never lost a game in which Brandon started. 🔴🔥

I think we have had too tremendous amount of success under SAF which was unparalleled and will unlikely to be ever repeated again and suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

Therefore, we are now suffering because he has left. We have recruited 2 top managers LVG and Jose. Are we saying that they are poor as they have fantastic track records but it didn't work out for them at United.

I will always support the team and the United manager (supported Jose even though I didn't like his character) until such time he proves that he cannot manage the team. Ole has been around for 1 year. To me give him the same amount of time as the rest and then judge. There's still plenty of deadwood to remove but you can't remove them all at once.

Of course, Woody is one of the big culprits who caused all these problems by looking at the $$$ (commercial side of business, e.g. Pogba) when signing a player instead of looking if he fits the team.

I do not think Poch is so good as everyone thinks. So what if his Spurs team was good but what did he win, ZERO!

KeeHuat 05-01-2020 02:00 AM

Manchester United: Romero, Young, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, Pereira, Matic, Chong, Mata, James, Greenwood.

Subs: Grant, Dalot, Jones, Wan-Bissaka, Fred, Gomes, Rashford.

lenghan 05-01-2020 03:15 AM

First 30mins, our young lads are doing pretty ok giving Wolves some fight but our strikers are no where shooting on target though they are having more of the play.
Romero made one spectacular save of the match so far.
At the moment our weakest player is Pereira whose passing is mostly off

lenghan 05-01-2020 04:26 AM

2nd half belongs to Wolves but our defense held on ok.
This time it is the strikers that yielded zero efforts on target.
Greenwood was almost non existent 2nd half
Final score 0-0

jwhtan 05-01-2020 07:16 PM

I watch for 30 mins and doze off.
The match was so boring :(

read that Rainola just signed Lingard to be his agent.

And that hopefully should be a sign that he is going to be off-loaded.
So it looks like same situation once again....players going out but no new players coming in.
Doubt Smalling wants to be back since he has now established himself at Roma and loved by the fans. So potentially loan becomes sales.
Probably the Italian league suits him better. Similar with Lukaku whom we offload to Inter Milan. This bloke has been scoring goals very regularly. And he plays with passion too!!! So what really happened in the training ground when he was still with us????
There have been so many reports of players from other clubs whom we are targeting (of course we are now very familiar with the medias hyping the situation with the agents to increase price), but either the clubs have openly stated NO SALES, or we are looking at well above 30 yr olds.
Not going to be surprised if no new players are signed this Jan window

loveikan 07-01-2020 11:12 PM

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly struggling to sell out Old Trafford for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash with rivals Man City.

The Mail claims 3,500 tickets – costing up to £66 each – remain on sale for the semi-final first-leg derby.

The unsold seats cover all four stands of the ground and it’s feared they will not be filled before kick-off this evening.

Old Trafford is the biggest stadium in Premier League with a capacity of 76,000, 14,000 more than Spurs’ new £1billion stadium holds.

But attendances have been declining in recent years, with last campaign’s average of 74,879 the lowest since 2009/10.

Read lingard has been offered to AC Milan....another giant struggling for the past 7 years or more.

By the way, what happened to the other super agents who once worked very closely with us esp during SAF times.

Now it seems Raiola is the only super agent being talked about most often

Was it Mendes, the agent for CR

lenghan 08-01-2020 05:21 AM

Jones was just ball watching instead of tracking Bernando that is why we are 1-0 down. And that was MC first attempt

lenghan 08-01-2020 05:36 AM

2-0 down now.
OGS is clueless ...just sitting down
Good nite

loveikan 08-01-2020 05:53 AM

Not much of protection for the backline and unable to support much to the frontline with the selected trio of midfielders.
Fred is practically useless when McTominay is not playing.
why chose Lingard over James as for the rest of the midfielder , Looking back at the bench, just who else can we select.

And why not put in Tuanzebe instead of Jones as the youngster is more calm and steady.

lenghan 08-01-2020 05:54 AM

HT and we are 3-0 down
3rd goal was OG by AP
We only had 3 off target attempts
Really bloody poor showing.
I'll say it again, OGS is clueless!!!!!
Not going to watch 2nd half when the team is playing this sort of football with no purpose.

loveikan 08-01-2020 08:17 AM

just found out that Martial was on the bench but why Ole refused to bring him in instead of lingard

loveikan 08-01-2020 09:36 AM

we played better in the 2nd half and Matic replaced Lingard at the start of it

lenghan 08-01-2020 09:59 AM

https://www.espn.com.sg/soccer/engli...for-all-to-see

It was as clear as daylight what is currently wrong with the club.
We kept saying, give Ole the chance to develop the team, but I am afraid this is not the solution

Probably a plot to let the world know the problems clearly and time to get rid of the black sheep in the management teams.

Honestly the fans deserve more then what they are seeing right now.
Just look at how bad the situation is....we were trying to get rid of "deadwood" like Matic, but ironically when he came in 2nd half, he brought calm within the midfield.
We really need experienced players to guide our youngsters, otherwise, sooner rather then later, they would become disillusioned and leave (probably why Chong and Gomez does not want to sign extensions??)
And this would probably be why Pogba is exploiting this weakness and play as he wishes

not sure about Gomez but for Chong the mgmt is trying to persuade him to stay.

This is the mickey mouse cup that nobody takes very seriously except us and
in the first half, we were already down 0-3 to a team that did not even start a recognised striker in their line up.

They were playing 451 with the 1 (Bernardo Silva) being a false 9.
This effectively negates the so called " counter attacking " set up we have.
And we were devoid of ideas to overcome it.

This United team is at best a top ten team.
Out of its depth to compete effectively for even the top 4,
never mind the premiership crown or UCL.

Long seasons ahead. Many seasons

lukeber 08-01-2020 05:21 PM

After managing Man U for 27 years, SAF retired in 2013 and its already been 6 to 7 seasons. Hope the football philosophy and culture can be rebuilt with the right management team. The manager alone can barely do anything and its a big club with huge expectations always.

loveikan 08-01-2020 07:52 PM

btw was Fred playing as a DM against MC?

lenghan 09-01-2020 03:16 AM

Injury updates

Macguire's scans have revealed the England international has suffered a muscle tear and he has already been ruled out of Norwich's visit to OTon Saturday and the FA Cup replay with Wolves on Wednesday.

It is a further blow to Ole, who is already without midfielders Pogba and McTominay.

Maguire's absence also leaves the OGS short in the centre of defence. Rojo and Tuanzebe are also injured and Eric Bailly has only just returned to training following more than five months out with a knee injury.

So it looks like we have to bear with the partnership of Jones and Linderloff both that would not even start if they were with Norwich.

KeeHuat 09-01-2020 09:22 AM

To put United in the correct direction, everyone at the club must move together with the same philosophy. Hopefully Woody with his earlier mind set of signing managers with different ideas on running the team (e.g. signing Jose to compete with Pep) and his own ideas on signing players with a boost to commercial/business intent, has learnt his lesson.

I am unsure how much input the Glazers have in the running of the club.

It is a painful step that will not be fixed immediately. Everyone must be on the same page.

One club has not won the league for 29 years and they are beginning to look a better team after years trying to build up the team.

KeeHuat 09-01-2020 04:39 PM

How many asked for SAF to be sacked when City beat United 6–1 at Old Trafford in October 2011. United lost 5-0 to Newcastle in October 1996. One week later Southampton 6 United 3. Chelsea 5 United 0 October 1999. United 1 Liverpool 4 March 2009. Which fans and pundits said SAF got it wrong in these matches and should be sacked.

Here are the criteria for a United manager and you are free to nominate a CONFIRMED one who will meet all the criteria. Don’t give hopeful candidates. I don’t agree with Poch as he has no winning track record.
- Have a 90% probability to win the EPL in season 2020/21
- Win 90% of all tactical battles against all opponents
- Play attacking football and score plenty of goals
- Do not let in goals and have the best defence in the EPL
- Develop the youth and bring them into the first team
- Keep all the fans happy

loveikan 09-01-2020 08:28 PM

the team must press on with so many obstacles.
and with the season ending in another 4 months plus, the players must play like they are playing for their future

loveikan 09-01-2020 08:31 PM

looks like Young will be given a one yr contract to fend off Inter Milan's approach

BREAKING: WEST HAM agree deal in principle to sign Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes on an 18-month loan.

Yet Sky Sports claim there is no option or obligation for the Hammers to buy the 20-year-old midfielder at the end of his stint.

Manchester United had been thought to have been in pole position to nab the player with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to strengthen his midfield.

But former Red Devils boss David Moyes has stolen a march on the Old Trafford outfit by striking a deal for Fernandes to join West Ham.

It has been and will always be the same with the club as long as Woodward is in charge.
Hoping for price to drop and before this can even happen, the prospective players are snatched away.
When will we ever learnt????

So completely not surprised that we missed Fernandes, like we missed Haaland (cos Woodward must have calculated that price was not right)

Latest news is Young has turned down the club offered of a one year contract as he wanted to join Inter Milan.
is he looking for a 2 years contract with another one year option or Lukaku is playing the super agent now?:p

lenghan 10-01-2020 12:59 PM

Looking like we may end up "KOSONG" with new players this Jan due to our "rigid" transfer policy of forever procrastinating

We scouted for Lyon Moussa Dembele, send scouts to watch, look see look see and what do we know....Chelsea snapped him

Not going for Christian Eriksen in Jan BECAUSE he will be "free" in summer.

Looking at Nelson Semedo from Barcelona (right back) with Spurs. Seems his agent favours Spurs over us.
We are also "looking" at Samuel Umtiti together with Spurs and Arsenal

Hoping Macguire can persuade Maddison to join us

Not interested in Sporting Lisbon's asking price for Bruno Fernandez of 59million which is the release clause when last season price was so much lower

Meanwhile.......
Young not willing to sign extension (Inter Milan almost certain they will sign him according to their CEO)
Chong in advance talk with Juventus
Trying to recall our loanees Smalling and Borthwick Jackson

And....
Injury plagued Rojo still MIA and no other teams seems interested even though he is still an Argentinian international. Seems like we are going to be stuck with this deadwood for yet another year
SM probably out for another 2 months
Macguire out till end of Jan
Pogba out till he feels like playing
Baily, although declared fit but not ready to play or even named on bench

lenghan 10-01-2020 07:58 PM

Wondered which report is true...Macguire "suddenly" could be available this weekend against Norwich!!! Or OGS really does not know, or not given any first hand knowledge of his players???

And by some magical intervention, Linggard is ill and so cannot play this weekend!!!!

Tim Fosu Mensah and Eric Bailly would be able playing in the U23s' against Newcastle tonight.

lenghan 10-01-2020 10:49 PM

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told supporters not to expect much transfer business in January.

Solskjaer has a little over three weeks to make changes to his squad but speaking at a news conference on Friday, he appeared pessimistic about the prospect of making new signings.

Honestly at this stage, it is pretty clear that OGS simply has no say in the transfer window. Coupled with this, he seems to be losing his grips on his players, not knowing who is in/out each week cos he simply does not know the extend of his players' injury problem.

And when the opposition is taking a different approach to the game (which he did not planned for), his lack of tactical skill is exposed. Only know Plan A.
And when it dawns upon him that Plan A is not working, and we are 2 or 3 goals down, then he would try to make changes, which, more often then not, is too little, too late. (Keven De Bruyne sums it up...all it took was for MC 15mins to know the style of our play and the rest is history)

Yes, I doubt the Board would replace him at his stage, but probably by the time we find another new manager (Allergi???) would the rot be too rotten to repair??

loveikan 11-01-2020 07:43 AM

by telling the fans not to expect much transfer in Jan, it might be a decoy.........fingers crossed.

Hope so. But more probable a reality like last season cos our $$$$ man will need to sanction any move(s)

actually our midfield is the weakest and lacking exp there apart from Matic.
Anyway, even without player coming in this Jan, Ole will br brave to put in players like Gomez and Chong.
experience player like Mata will be good too though he is much slower now.
