First run doesn't seem promising. I'm making changes to the design and trying again.

The problem with marine tanks is cannot use aluminium heatsink as conductor :( So not alot of ways to transfer the coldness from the peltier to the water.

let me know the progress...coz im thinking of making one for my 1.5ft*1ft*1.5ft marine tank.

The other side heatsink i got it from SLT level 3. I cannot remember which shop but the shop selling 2nd hand electronic parts. i found it from a junk box of heatsink.
The heatsink i bought it at S$10 including fan. Cool plate at S$4.50. TEM at S$19.00. Thermal grease S$1.00.

I bought all these items from different shop in SLT. Just spend you time looking around you may able to find the parts that you want. :D

the shop is at basement, lot number is B1-25, go and ask for 'peltier', don say TEM or TEC, the boss will give u back a "??" answer. They got 8A and 6A module, so, choose urself which one suit u.

i am only able to acheive most 27C with my diy chiller for my 1.5ft planted shrimp tank, was thinking if i add another fan blowing the water surface, could it be able to bring down the water temp 2 or 3 degreee further?

Fan blowing i.e evapouration cooling can only cool 1-2 degrees below ambient temperature. Hence if your room temp is 29 and your chiller already cools your tank to 27C, the fans will very lightly have no effect other than cause more evapouration.

If like that then no point add another fan lo, as i am thinking fan cooling by evapouration, since already reach 27C, if more evapouration then can bring down further, so it is wrong theory.
