It grows well on floating veg pellets. U can give it occasional shrimps. But too much protein is bad for its liver. Carrots, rice, bread, lettuce are favourites.

My filtration is the normal canister + Ohs. It's not a problem as they breathe air. He comes up to surface and "wuff" sound produced when breathing. Quite nice.

PNT was listed on the CITES list in Appendix II (Appendix II includes species not necessarily threatened with extinction, but in which trade must be controlled in order to avoid utilization incompatible with their survival)

Therefore, Singapore, as a member of the CITES, have to abide by the restrictions enforced by CITES.

PNT was probably not in the list years ago, which explained its abundance in the market.
