Just sharing my experience and opinion on these bbrs At this age......about 2 weeks old...you can only look at the (1)length which should be long and the (2)tail.

(1) Length...since it is top view ranchu...bbrs at this age should be long...the bbrs displayed all got good length

(2) Tail....tail shoulder can roughly be gauged...it should not be straight, but rather should be slightly taper off at the tail tips(left and right shoulder). Most important is that can gauge whether the tail is flat or not flat...bros look closely at the middle of the tail where you can see the tail folding up a bit...that is very important...it shows that the tail's angle is elevated and not flat. Flat tail will not swim well...so when selecting bbrs always look at the middle of the tail to see whether there is a fold or not...must have a fold in the middle to ensure that when bbrs grow older the tail angle is good.

My 2 cts opinion.:p

Regards

Kitsilano

Chris san...how original of you to name your own bloodline Horyishi.

Btw what are the bloodline of the parents?

As they look too small to be commented on at the moment, what I can say is you've done a commendable job on breeding these fries. It gives hobbyists like us the hope that we too can do our own breeding some day. Keep the sarabat spirit alive. Cheers. :)

The father is a sugimoto given up by a hobbyist and left it in a shop. The mother is a Nogi.

Wait for my next 3 lines...namely: Kangyishi, Hengyishi and Aiyishi.:D
