Feeding prawns with shell to Rays?

Anybody here feeding prawns with the shell to their rays?
i usually peel off the shell, but was wondering if they can be fed with the shell on, but chopped to bite size.

depending on the fish and the size.
Last time i left shell on, remove head...

and the shell came out in the poop and ended up at the pump (coz running on OHF) - need to clear off else choke....

for my big rays , they eat as is , never remove anything. they are happy to do so :)

but the smaller one i remove head and tail , rest cut into small pieces, always end up seeing the shell floating around in the tank.
