silicon between tank's glass

If glass thickness is the same, is it the thicker the silicon the better? The more safer against leak?

i feel quality of silicon and workmanship are more important.

Try buying the silicone from tank makers if you DIY, they know which type or brand best to use for tanks.
If buying new tank just judge by the past records of the tank makers.

I have one 8mm 3*1.8*1.8. I use for 8 years still no problem. Silicon very thick.

I remember they mentioned Dow Corning or Germany whacker. But that was many years ago, not sure whether I remembered correctly...

It is not the more silicon the better, it's the workmanship. Once sealed properly plus enough time for silicon to dry, there won't be any leak. The quality of the silicon is also important, as it will last longer.
