i might choose to think that raising the PH a little might improve the colour, wats ur take????????????????????

amiidae 16-07-2007 08:45 PM

They were housed in water of PH 5.4 when i first got them. Hence, the coloration is dull (the tub pix).

coloration did improved and feeding very well as i house them to water with PH 6.8 with fairly dark gravel.

now I've moved them into a "light" tank with water at abt PH7. I will have to see the feeding portion and see if they are feeding well.

as you already mentioned that their current diet in on live shrimps, i would think that their colour pigment should be taken care of................ now it's the waiting game..................

have you observed any burrowing so far???????????

Solitaire 16-07-2007 08:58 PM

ya, having good appetites is a gauge / positive sign of "optimum" water condition for them but that is the former set up (PH 6.8 with dark gravel)

As for this new 120G set up... still everybody's guess but really hope that they will turn out well.

nope, no burrowing so far.

Thank Solitaire
