AFR Female transformed to Male

I have heard of female guppy transforming to a male before and was skeptical of it. However, I witnessed this myself with my AFRs. I have two females which literally transformed to become males. One of them I put it in this video together with a few males. Near the end of the video, I focused on it to show you which one was it. Notice its gonopodium is slightly different from the rest of the males.

Actually I do experience it sometimes too. Somehow these malea develop later than the rest. But usually these males will not be the best.

I had a female swordtail that transformed into a male when I was a kid. It resulted in a gigantic male that didn't seem to mate with the other females.

When you buy feeders, you'll find gigantic males that look like they were once females and hence the long body, small tail and poor coloration etc. not sure if they had transformed, too.

Read somewhere that water conditions can determine gender of whole batch of fries. Not sure how, though.
