Our transfer targets all slipping away???
What a joke...we were linked to so many players but we only got one.
And now...Bale??

moscowblue 15-09-2020 08:47 AM

get another overpaid player?
Bale salary in Madrid is 600K per week.

All the top teams won except for Spurs.

So we better buck up on our 1st match

Getting Bale is repeating the same mistake we made when we signed Sanchez. Injury prone, plus more importantly, he just want to get out of Real Madrid and no real desire to join us. He is no longer the speed wizard.

But the most frustrating transfer saga is on Sancho. We know very well Dortmund are not going to back down on their demands and yet we are still pussy footing hoping the German club would accede. Either we pay their asking price, otherwise, just walk out and try to use the fund to source other players (if there are actually any left!!!)
Our transfer policy is truly pathetic

Even getting rid of "dead woods" seems a big problem to the Glazers. Still thinking of trying to recover their initial investment when these players are really on the down trend

Apparently Spurs has now hijacked our Real Madrid target (Sergio Reguilon) from under our nose all because we were still trying our luck to push down the price. Spurs willing to meet RM's demands.
So where do we go from here. Absolutely disastrous transfer window even tho this open period had been going on for a long stretch of time.
The Glazers and Woodward only think in terms of getting the lowest pricing possible even tho some of our targets were indeed players we needed.
To make it even a greater joke, they refused to sell our "dead woods" because the would be suitors are low-balling us (just like they are doing with selling clubs)

Not convinced that Sergio Reguilon deal is about price.
If the reports are accurate, then I dun see why we should agree to Real Madrid's buy-back clause.

We are not Spurs. Definitely we cannot be developing any player to sell him back to his old club if he makes the cut
but if the player doesn't turn out well, then we get stuck with him. Doesn't make sense for our club.
At least, that's how I feel.

Agree that the buy back clause is certainly not to our advantage, but it was reported that RM are willing to compromise on this and not to pursue this clause. Then it was up to us to put in our bid of between 20 to 25million whereas RM are demanding around 30million. And before we could even place the bid, Spurs hijacked the deal and agreed with RM's original deal. Like it or not, our recruiting team are definitely behind time or slow to react and will try to low ball first (which is ok if no other teams are bidding). It goes to show our recruiting team is not up to speed with the market situation

Thiago confirmed at Liverpool for 30million
We would not get him cos Thiago all along wanted to join Liverpool.

So where does that leaves us now, with only 1 signing to boast

lenghan 17-09-2020 07:28 PM

Bale signed one year loan deal to Spurs
Spurs also confirmed signing Reguilon

If wat people are saying is true, then United will buy Sancho at the very last minute. And then, the fans will be like, Wow we got our player.

But actually we only got 2 of the 4-5 players we needed to strengthen the team.

This is a very cunning method, and if OGS failed, will he be booted out?

Remember all the previous managers that got booted out? When Woodward/Glazers stopped the flow of funds to these managers asking for new signings, it was ...TIME TO GO.
So are the owners doing this again with Ole??
It makes me wonder
