How low can arowana handle?

Our temperature here right now is 23 deg celcius. And the water is also quite cold, how low temperature cam arowanas handle? My main concern is my pond as i'm unable to heat it due to size/volume. Any suggestions?

Shld Be no issue as the water near the depth will be warmer than the surface.

Water temperature is always different from atmospheric temperature, respond slower. We have a tank of arowanas in shopping mall at constant low temperature probably around 22 and survive.
I think the real danger is the sudden change of temperature.

Bro, are the aros in question active and feeding?

Dave57 15-02-2017 05:00 PM

Arowana is cold blooded, should be able to handle if its not too low (sub 10C).
reduce feeding when temperature is low. Metabolism rate is lower.
Take note of ammonium, nitrite and nitrate too. Bacteria react slower in low temperature too.
