From the pic,
no filtration, no cover, is ph swing a problem due to rain? I assume u don't change water often due to the size? Right?:)

This place is in Singapore....:p

Different setup, different source of water and so many other different parameters.....I can share with you but if you adopt my method, it may not work for u. Worst if words spread ard that I'm leading hobbyist astray. :(:(

chris 15-04-2011 05:39 PM

Forget to add that the water level that I raise the cbr and adult tvr are all in 16inch water level. Very different from conventional method that cbr must be raised in shallow water. :D

jest1081 15-04-2011 07:03 PM

good to be unconventional bro. no system is perfect and the only way we can improve is to keep experimenting. cheerios. looking fwd to c ur exhibits in aquarama!

After keeping for 1 year, i felt like i just started, just as newbie.
Longer i keep, more newbie i realised myself to be.

I also try try like you on experimenting leh, but not so fierce lah!
Using GW, but ended up most of the time super dark green water cause no time to change!:p

Bros....lets not get carried away and just enjoy the hobby. There is no master/student mentality here...just enjoy and share what little we know.

Ranchu is .......Patience!!

16 inch of water level, so it is around 40cm. No wonder you don't need to change water so often. :)

chris 16-04-2011 10:38 AM

The cbr is stressed as I just took out from plastic bag. When stablise, they are okie liao. :p

Tmr...I'm visiting some Orchid and koi farm in the same area with my friend. Can drop by your hse after that, if you still have energy to entertain us...:D
will sms u tmr.

Now I've 3 tubs, and every night I've to change 2 tubs of water, so that in the morning, I transfer the CBR into a clean tub, and when I reach home at night, I transfer them into another clean tub with aged water, while I change the other 2 tub for aging again....:D
Quite siong but fun......:D

kitsilano 27-04-2011 05:37 PM

Bro Chris....Post # 64...those fries are butterfly fries...eyes not like ranchu fries...also on the back of the fries like got some strange markings...is it internal markings like the "stomach"? Dorsal fin at what age start appearing on the fries? Please enlighten and thanks for the education.
