Allow me to start by posting my first attempt of the breeding of my Altolamprologus Calvus "Chaitika" White harvest. The parents consist of 1Male and 3Females(Lucky male eh?) Transferred from my display tank to my breeding tank after they reached spawning size.

Breeding tank's decoration redecorated with the spawning shells stuck into the sand at the right side of the tank(1/4 the size of the tank) where there is less movement of humanity so that the fishes will feel less stress and with room temperature 24 degree Celsius giving them the amorous mood(if you catch my drift);). On the left side of the tank(3/4" bare with sand only) is complete sand-bed for sandsifters.

After around two months, today dated 111009. I realized one of my female was going back and forth towards the shells hole and fanning her tail while her head is stuck inside the shell while the male was guarding the territory like how Thor would protect Asgard. I started to suspect that there might be a harvest already, and yes. After accounting, I've got 68 pieces of fries.

This is only the beginning as it would take me a year before these fries grow into an inch plus.

Enjoy brus:)

After acclimatization for 20 minutes and at 1800pm sharp, the were released into their 2ft grow out tank.

This is where the everyday work for me starts.

Pardon me for the blur picture.

About 2.5mm in length. You see the sand in the red tub? Those are grade 3 coral sand bru, so you can try to visualize the fries beside the sand in size comparison huh:)
