Trailing 1-0 we are now 1-2 up both goals by BF. The first BF goal was great header off LS cross and the second a shot disguised as cross that looked like MR goal but slow motion showed MR did not touch. So both goals by BF

Liang_Zai 07-11-2020 10:17 PM

I think Michael Keane kick on martial seems deliberate though

loveikan 07-11-2020 10:27 PM

LS had another cross that led to a goal. He had one too in another match
Looked likeTelles presence has an immediate impact

This is certainly a positive for us

Yes and will be good if Bissaka can do the same thing from the right too.

Liang_Zai 07-11-2020 10:55 PM

Everton play acting is getting irritating

Liang_Zai 07-11-2020 11:00 PM

Martial is contributing near to zero. When are we making a change?

loveikan 07-11-2020 11:28 PM

Nice work by BF instead of going for his hat trick chosen to pass the ball to Cavani who scored his 1st goal for the club

lenghan 07-11-2020 11:34 PM

Ole survived yet another battle to stay as manager!!!
A very good performance overall tonight from most of the players

KeeHuat 08-11-2020 12:11 AM

Today, the players showed commitment, to track back and were sharper in their thinking.

loveikan 08-11-2020 01:15 AM

CP leading 3-1 against Leeds where the latter has more possessions.

Even though Leeds lost a few games but the club has been playing well above expectation in the league since the word go

He is playing very well, he is holding up the ball when given and drawing tackles from opposition to stop the game when under pressure.

We need such a striker that can hold the ball up. Did not have such a player since Mark Hughes

lenghan 16-11-2020 06:13 AM

Telles tested positive again. Gosh
With Shaw out only B Williams available

lenghan 17-11-2020 01:10 AM

Based on what we have seen over the last month and recently. maybe it was a wise decision to not pursue after Sancho. Watching his games for Dortmund and England, he is no where the superstar hype, but just very ordinary player. Jack Grealish is miles better than Sancho

KeeHuat 17-11-2020 11:37 AM

Manchester United have been handed a boost from Alex Telles, who has tested negative for the Brazil national team ahead of taking on Uruguay in their World Cup qualifier

And Reuters have now confirmed that test has come back with the desired result.

“After a negative result in his last test, Alex Telles will travel with the squad to Uruguay,” the CBF said in a statement.

BBP604 18-11-2020 12:31 AM

Whether JS is good enough ,nobody can tell at this moment.
But we certainly need strong winger in the attack.
Any potential to fill the rank?
Read somewhere we are exploring to buyback AJ.

lenghan 22-11-2020 05:50 AM

Damn negative brand of football we are playing.
I really think Ole is setting the team not to lose rather then to win.

jwhtan 22-11-2020 05:54 AM

Boring first half.
We really dunno how to break a team that defends deep.

Liang_Zai 22-11-2020 06:58 AM

A laboured win. Cant break down deep lying team yet weak at the back when being attacked. See ole got the feel of seeing moyes and he does seems really clueless on how to lead the team

lenghan 22-11-2020 07:03 AM

To beat a team that is bottom of the table by a twice taken penalty is really nothing to be proud off all because we (especially Ole) were playing extremely negative football. Rashford and Martial both missed sitters supplied by BF
Yes BF made many wayward passes but for me he is the only player playing to win.
Still cannot understand why Ole is so against bringing on DVDB. Giving him only 10mins to influence the game? Very poor strategy by Ole playing 2 holding midfielders is beyond comprehension?
The only positive.....the referee was my man of the match otherwise we would have lost. And not forgetting the great save DDG made before our "soft" penalty

KeeHuat 22-11-2020 08:04 AM

Not played well but got the 3 points in the end. Sometimes, this is what is needed when you get points even though you don't perform well. Even during SAF's time this happened.

Sam Johnstone (ex-United) played well and made some good saves. West Brom jersey looks like pyjamas.

moscowblue 22-11-2020 09:46 AM

This is unacceptable, the game played at OT against a weaker team and we won by a contentious penalty after we nearly gave away one ourselves.

OGS needs to be brave and not always put out a team comprising of 2 DMs to protect our weak CDs.

The continuing absence of DVDB is really a disgrace as he is obviously better than Mata.

BBP604 22-11-2020 02:44 PM

Another lousy display and escaped with a penalty to clinch a win.
Certainly missed the exciting attack from the flank and good control at the midfield.
What happen to our new guy, dvdb?

loveikan 22-11-2020 04:11 PM

WBA gk played well and for us despite us not playing well , we still got 3 points.. Mata can only use sparingly and Beek obviously not Ols signing.

BBP604 22-11-2020 05:08 PM

Our ex-goalie have made several good saves for opposition team.
Must agreed that the game also see if lady luck favout which team.
But despite having big names in our squad, the team dont seem to play well.
Its like very inconsistent.
Cant seem to penetrate into goals.
We need penalty to save 3pts.
What are we missing? Game plan, attitude

KeeHuat 23-11-2020 06:23 PM

After losing 3 home matches and most of the media speculating he will be sacked, I guess it is natural for Ole to be a bit cautious and not go for an all out attacking line up. What if he went for an attacking line and then lost the fourth match at home. Then all the vultures will really home in.

So be a bit cautious, make sure the team is defensively more solid and also try to win as well. After playing with 2 holding midfielders and winning at Everton, why should he risk it to do away with the strategy. Maybe, after more solid performances then Ole might revert to a more attacking line up.

Every time United lose a match, the vultures are out and Poch's name is mentioned. If you are Ole, why ask for it though some fans are screaming.

BBP604 23-11-2020 10:43 PM

Its good to be cautious else head will roll.
As the saying goes, the best defence is to attack.
Not purely on this game we are talking about.
The recent matches dont seem to reflect well on our performances.
Many a time we saw no game plan, no execution of right players.
Wonder how we can continue moving up the table and start players' confidence again.

KeeHuat 25-11-2020 04:33 AM

United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; van de Beek, Fred; Rashford, Fernandes, Martial; Cavani.

Substitutes: Grant, Henderson, Williams, Tuanzebe, Mengi, Fosu-Mensah, Matic, Mata, James, Pellistri, Greenwood, Ighalo

lenghan 25-11-2020 05:11 AM

An absolutely gem of a goal by BF!!!!!

One of the best first 15mins play by our lads. The one touch passing is a joy to watch and hope this can carry on

lenghan 25-11-2020 05:23 AM

2-0 now and both by BF!!!
But our defence is not very convincing though

lenghan 25-11-2020 05:50 AM

3-0 at half time.
Let's hope Ole does not disrupt the flow of the game by making changes too soon as our defence cannot even cope with a single Demba Ba

lenghan 25-11-2020 06:43 AM

As expected Ole disrupted the flow with his subs.
Second half we are mostly second best for the one on one situation

lenghan 25-11-2020 07:00 AM

Final goal scored by DJ after a string of good passing
But second half they looked like scoring everytime they attacked
Our first half performance was excellent but as soon as Ole made the early subs in 2nd half we were just an average team.
DVDB and EC were good, esp DVDB which showed that he can play together with BF and sooner Ole recognise this, the better we would be

moscowblue 25-11-2020 11:59 AM

1st half was superb, 2nd half I nearly sleep!

Again, the formation and team selection was good.
Hopefully, Ole make another change in the team to replace either of the CB with Tuanzebe for added pace and we should be able to defeat Soton this weekend.

KeeHuat 25-11-2020 01:36 PM

A win and what a shot by Fernandes for the first goal. First half's play was good.

lenghan 28-11-2020 11:05 PM

It would be anyone's guess whom Ole would field this weekend.
Injury list update:
AWB - expected to be ok this weekend
PP - expected to be ok but hope he does not start
LS - projected comeback date is 23rd Dec (one player that for reasons known to himself that whenever he starts to play better, he gets injured)
EB - expected to be ok this weekend but a player who does not protect himself whenever he tackled. Far too injury prone for a stable stint
JL - No known date but who cares
PJ - the forgotten player who spends more time on the injured list. No wonder no other teams in the league is looking to sign him
MR - another forgotten player who last played Nov 2019

Fortunately key players are ok so far this weekend.

But the media and soccer pundits are highlighting the injury problem of a certain team everytime they play. These people should realise that injuries is part and parcel of football and the teams have to deal with it. Many teams faced major injury problems last season and even presently, but one central defender got injured, it has been constantly talked up even up till today.

A very weird post match interview by Klopp with the press.
He sounded absolutely disgusted

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnYe...hannel=BTSport

lenghan 29-11-2020 03:18 PM

I can understand Klopp's frustration about the fixtures but he should address this with his Board who are the ones that agreed with the EPL Board. While it is very noble for him to protect his players (so does every other managers) he must not forget that his club also receive a big chunk in the viewers' proceeds too and that this is the primary concern for all clubs. That is the reality in today's world...economic survival.
But what irks me was his comment about Chris Wilder (Sheffield United manager) who does not agree with 5 subs to be used. He need not rub it in by saying that CW team has only 3 points to show (or something to that effect). These are my personal opinions

correction....should be 1 point
