Lei and Chelsea lost today.
WH completed a double over the Blues this season

Now we need to grab the chance presented.

moscowblue 03-07-2020 12:42 AM

If all the 3 teams continue to win until the last match.

Then we need to win against Lei to take 4th spot

lenghan 03-07-2020 05:14 AM

Man City leading Liverpool 3-0 at HT
Liverpool fielded almost their entire first team
But what I enjoy most was the score kept Michael Owen looking shell shocked and none of his show-off

KeeHuat 04-07-2020 02:12 PM

Saw this on a few football sites last night

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes 'are BOTH injured in a training ground collision... and both Manchester United midfielders could now miss out on their clash with Bournemouth - with Portuguese star coming off worse'

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes have both reportedly suffered injuries following a collision in training in a major blow to Manchester United's hopes of finishing in the top four.

It is claimed Fernandes came off worse following the accidental clash at the club's Carrington base, as reported by The Mirror.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were busy preparing for Saturday's Premier League game at home to Bournemouth.

Both players were taken away for treatment, with concerns raised regarding whether they will be able to feature against Bournemouth.

Both Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in the first team squad

lenghan 04-07-2020 11:22 PM

Shitty defending to be 0-1 down

lenghan 04-07-2020 11:34 PM

Excellent assist from BF for Greenwood to equalise with a wonderful shot

lenghan 04-07-2020 11:40 PM

Penalty converted by Rashford. We lead 2-1 now. First goal from MR since Jan and it was great that BF let him take the penalty.
Almost immediately we almost conceded the equaliser with yet another display of lazy defending. Fortunately offside given

lenghan 04-07-2020 11:50 PM

Nice to see all front 3 contributed a goal each. Latest being AM for us to lead 3-1. It was an absolutely brillant goal by AM

loveikan 04-07-2020 11:57 PM

A goal each for the front 3.

BF lets MR took the penalty, and goal will help him gain more confidence as he had missed a few chances from his earlier games.

jwhtan 04-07-2020 11:58 PM

Greenwood and Martial goals very well finished.

Glad the strikers are finishing the moves sharply
The Rashford penalty was also very well taken.

Glad that we're playing with confidence and belief now

Agreed about our front 3.
But some aspect of our defending has to toughen up. The first goal was down to lost of concentration and for DDG to be beaten at his near post. They almost equalised had it not been for offside and it was again down to lost of concentration at the back

lenghan 05-07-2020 12:13 AM

What a way for EB to concede a silly penalty
3-2 now
Again defending to be questioned?

lenghan 05-07-2020 12:15 AM

Again saved by offside otherwise 3-3
EB again got caught

lenghan 05-07-2020 12:19 AM

Greenwood again!!! 4-2
Now 5-2 BF with free kick

lenghan 05-07-2020 12:58 AM

Been a long time we have not seen such score.
Great job done
But still not very comfortable with our defenders

KeeHuat 05-07-2020 02:02 AM

Positives are the 3 forwards who scored especially Greenwood who hit 2 good goals, one with each foot.

Bad to give away 2 goals. First goal Maguire nutmegged. Second Bailly who was stupid to do what he did though it wasn't a good pass from Matic. Why give Mike Dean who doesn't like United a chance to give a penalty though it hit Bailly's shoulder not arm.

Maguire doesn't trust Bailly as much as Lindelöf as he passed less often to him.

Credit to Bournemouth for trying to play an open game instead of just defending.

What a team player BF is. Altho he is more assured of taking penalties, he gave way for MR to score his first goal since Jan. Well done BF

sfk7 05-07-2020 10:22 AM

How Greenwood has matured! Nicely taken goals

The same cannot be said of the centre backs. Although Bailly is hard done by Matic, what kind of pass is that for him? Playing him into trouble. And Maguire is just not nimble, both feet and mind

lenghan 05-07-2020 03:54 PM

The last 5 games will decide the 3rd and 4th position.
Leicester and Chelsea seem to have a tougher draw.
None of the teams can afford an lost.

CONFIRMED: MATIC SIGNS NEW UNITED CONTRACT

Manchester United is delighted to announce that Nemanja Matic has signed a new contract, which will keep him at the club until June 2023.

Matic joined United in 2017 and has made 114 appearances for the club. The Serbian international has represented his country on 48 occasions.

Nemanja Matic said: “I am very happy that I will continue to be part of this great club.

“As a player, I still have a lot more to give and achieve in my career and to do that with Manchester United will be a huge honour.

“This is a really exciting team to be part of, we have a good balance of youth and experience within the squad and there is great comradery amongst the group.

“This is a key part of the season and we are playing well. We will continue to fight to finish the season on a high and make our amazing supporters proud.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “I am delighted that Nemanja has signed a new contract, I know his experience, professionalism and leadership will be invaluable to this young talented group.

“We have great strength in midfield and Nemanja’s attributes are a key part of that. Nemanja has been here for three seasons now and really understands the values of playing for Manchester United.

“He remains hugely ambitious and determined which will be vital as we look to achieve our aims over the coming years.”

Tonite Leicester will face Arsenal and Chelsea will play Crystal Palace.
Our next game will be against Villa
Haha you know who I will be rooting to win

lenghan 08-07-2020 04:16 AM

Chelsea managed to hang on to win 3-2 over Crystal Palace.
Pity that in almost the last min of extra time, CP should have equalised but the shot glazed the post.

moscowblue 08-07-2020 05:50 PM

Hopefully we can push the 2 teams above all the way by winning all the rest of our games

Yes Arsenal did us a big favour in their draw against Leicester, otherwise it will be more tricky situation for us because goal difference they are in a much superior position. So it is now up to us to make sure we win all games, including the final game vs Leicester

Shadow7 09-07-2020 04:36 PM

Tonight’s game we can see 1st hand how good this Grealish is but imo no matter how good he does tonight he’s not worth the 80m price tag and our midfield is well stock at the moment, would rather OGS spend the $ on either a right winger or a left sided defender.

KeeHuat 09-07-2020 05:51 PM

It's always better to have competition for places, those out of form and to cover players being injured during the season.

Creative players are always good against the teams that play defensively away and so at home too. Need a quick and tough centre back too.

Wolves is one such team even when they are at home. That's why when the opposing team doesn't attack they have difficulty in scoring. Their style of play is to just either hit long balls to their forwards or wait to counter attack the other team when they break. When they were home against Arsenal recently, they looked like the away team.

We are still not certain if PP would extend his contract. Pogba being Pogba may just surprise Ole by giving all kind of demands and here we go again. Then there is his notorious agent who dislike us to the core. Cos when Ole said he is confident PP will extend, then I tend not to believe. He had been most inaccurate in most of his calls

KeeHuat 10-07-2020 03:21 AM

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Greenwood, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Romero, Bailly, Williams, McTominay, Fred, Pereira, Mata, James, Ighalo.

lenghan 10-07-2020 04:40 AM

First 20mins, Villa looks more threatening going forward

lenghan 10-07-2020 04:48 AM

Penalty scored by BF but from replay a very fortunate decision for us. 1-0

lenghan 10-07-2020 05:09 AM

Greenwood power right footed shot 2-0

lenghan 10-07-2020 05:39 AM

3-0 Nice to watch Pogba scored from an assist by BF

lenghan 10-07-2020 06:15 AM

Final score 3-0
First team in Premiership history to win 4 games in a row with 3 goals margin
Well done lads

KeeHuat 10-07-2020 06:55 AM

Comfortable end but Villa played well initially. Fortunate to get the penalty. Great hard shot from Greenwood. Good deceptive play between Fernandes and Pogba for the 3rd goal. Should have scored more goals: Fernandes' header, Wan-Bissaka's header, Martial's shot which hit the bar, Rashford's disallowed goal.

moscowblue 10-07-2020 09:31 AM

I guess Pogba is going to stay after all. He is starting to enjoy his game more and more

Manchester United will complete our Europa League Round of 16 tie against LASK at Old Trafford.

The Reds lead the Austrian side five 5-0 following the first leg, which was the club’s last match before the season was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak.

UEFA have today (9 July) confirmed that second-leg matches can take place at home stadiums, but behind closed doors.

The game will be held on either the 5 or 6 August, with the fixture list being confirmed after the quarter-final and semi-final draw at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, which takes place on Friday (10 July) at 12:00 BST.

European football’s governing body said it would “continue to monitor the situation” and could move matches “should new events occur that would make it impossible to play one or more matches at the original venues”.

The remainder of the 2019/20 Europa League will take place in Germany in August as a straight knockout ‘finals’ tournament. All ties will be single-leg fixtures.

Today the UEFA Executive Committee ruled fixtures would be without fans until further notice. VAR will continue to be in operation for the remainder of the tournament.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side take a five-goal advantage into the Round of 16 second leg against LASK thanks to goals from Odion Ighalo, Daniel James, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood and Andreas Pereira.
