Pep is correct. If only one game played in closed door still acceptable. But long run the games ought to be suspended

loveikan 11-03-2020 06:45 PM

this one sounds good.

Paul Pogba is determined to prove his true worth and believes he will play a lead role in a period of success at Man United. He is ready to sign a contract extension at the club. He's been particularly impressed by Bruno Fernandes and thinks he can develop an exciting partnership with him. [Mail]

What do you think about Pogba potentially signing a new deal?

Probably divided feelings
So he actually still felt most of his teammates had led him down until BR came along. How is the rest of the lads going to react? Maybe not too kindly I think and there we go again...disruption in the team.
Unless today he said he wants to be cut ties with his rogue agent!!!!

lenghan 12-03-2020 07:09 AM

Extra time for Liverpool vs A.Madrid
Game totally dominated by home team.
2-2 now (after Adrian made a horrible mistake)

lenghan 12-03-2020 07:15 AM

Totally against the run of play A.Madrid scored again.
Goal should have been saved but again poor goalkeeping by Adrain
Aggregate 2- 3 to their favour and now Liverpool must score 2 more goals to win

lenghan 12-03-2020 07:36 AM

Surprise surprise Liverpool lost 2-3 at Anfield and 2-4 on aggregate
A game they should have won on normal time but Oblak was too good

loveikan 12-03-2020 08:50 AM

A great comeback BY AM.
Thought Reds will win after Firmino scored.

loveikan 12-03-2020 08:53 PM

Read that Chong and Gomes will be given a chance to play.
Probably hoping to make the latter agreed to new contract

jwhtan 13-03-2020 12:05 AM

Real Madrid has been quarantined.
What will happen to their CL match with ManCity ?

lenghan 13-03-2020 01:31 AM

Looks like this COVID 19 is causing havoc to everything along the way, whether in sports, economy or politics.

Only Chong named on the sub bench. Gomes not even on the list

loveikan 13-03-2020 03:28 AM

what a strike by ighalo. 1-0

Yup lovely ball control before unlesshing an unstoppable shot to roof of net.
Once again another BF assist

lenghan 13-03-2020 04:14 AM

2-0 now. Daniel James at last scores

lenghan 13-03-2020 04:27 AM

Ole rewards Chong for renewing contract by giving him the opportunity, replacing DJ

lenghan 13-03-2020 04:37 AM

3-0, third goal scored by Mata from a good through pass from Fred

lenghan 13-03-2020 04:48 AM

4th and 5th goal in succession by Greenwood and AP
Final score 5-0
Although a comfortable victory, far too many niggling fouls (30 altogether) that kind of spoils the rhythm of the game

KeeHuat 13-03-2020 04:50 AM

5-0 win. Great juggling by Ighalo before he finished with a goal.

James scored after a long time without a goal.

Mata also scored but except for his goal, his passing wasn't up to standard and lost the ball a few times.

Greenwood with a great goal from a narrow angle.

Even Pereira scored

Ighalo scored the goal of the tournament with his juggling from tight angle

Arteta tested positive for COVID 19

https://www.espn.com.sg/soccer/engli...d-this-weekend

This will surely starts to complicate schedules for the league

loveikan 13-03-2020 10:50 AM

more games will.be affected.

normally when Utd score, I cheer but when Perreira score last night, I laughed..... lidat also score ?
but personally i think it will count for nothing ..... in view of covid, i think sporting events will all be suspended or even cancelled

Clubs like Norwich, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Watford will all say " Heng ar .... no relegation !!! "

Chelsea's Callum Hudson Odoi also tested positive .....

If Arsenal, Chelsea players all quarantined, how to continue season

bedoklist 13-03-2020 11:45 AM

Instead of cancel, might as well extend the league till next year. No one know when this virus will hit someone and when it will disappear.

It won't disappear ....

What will happen is that the majority of the population will ultimately be infected and then there will be herd immunity ....
by which time, it will be like common flu ....
but for now and the foreseeable future, there'll be no way sports can continue when whole teams are being quarantined ....
I believe the return game with LASK will be suspended .... or even the whole Europa League cancelled

Hahaha will Liverpool's attempt to win the league after so many years be in vain this season? Or will they simply declare them winner now?

jwhtan 13-03-2020 01:44 PM

end of the day, football is a spectator sport ...
i mean, ok u play the game behind closed doors like the game last night
and then u score ... 5 goals ... and then no fans to celebrate with ...
U imagine if Europa League final ....if we win ... behind closed doors ...
and then u celebrate yourselves ... no fans ... walao

win also hollow lor ... no meaning .....

U see PSG in Champions League, dunno suay or what .... never get into quarter finals ....
the year they get into .... covid ... and in front of empty stadium

BBP604 13-03-2020 06:56 PM

Match not ended how to declare champion.
So wait lor...
Start new season then try again :p

loveikan 13-03-2020 07:00 PM

Fr FB

USA has cancelled all sporting events, Spain has suspended La Liga, France has suspended Ligue 1 and shut all schools, Ireland has shut all schools and cancelled sporting events. Our government does nothing. The Premier League has to be suspended indefinitely and immediately - the lives of people are more important than anything else. They need to be prioritised.

jwhtan 13-03-2020 08:12 PM

Premier League suspended till 3 April

Champions League and Europa all suspended till further notice

KeeHuat 13-03-2020 09:55 PM

The announcement that all English football fixtures until April 3rd, at the earliest, will be suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, will only affect two Manchester United matches as it stands.

As it currently stands, only the United game away at Tottenham this Sunday (March 15th) and next week's FA Cup tie away at Norwich (March 22nd) fall under the suspension with all English football professional matches postponed for the next two weekends. That's as well as the Europa League last 16 tie against LASK (originally set for March 19th), following UEFA's announcement that all next week's European games would be postponed.

lenghan 15-03-2020 04:14 AM

There is now a possibility that this season's league could be declared null and void if the COVID19 continues.
I am sure there would be utter chaos when this happens

loveikan 15-03-2020 06:01 AM

Butt has signed a few promising youngsters such as another wonderkid from Monaco, one whom we have won against other big clubs for his signature so let's see their development.

SHORE THING*Man Utd wonderkid Shola Shoretire has been likened to Jay-Jay Okocha and played for the Under-19 team aged just 14

Nah...the rightful thing to do is to give the EPL title to Klopp team.
but really a headache for those team fighting for CL, Europa places and the teams avoiding relegation

moscowblue 17-03-2020 11:09 PM

Hopefully we can watch the EPL this season again, whilst we rest at home:D

loveikan 18-03-2020 01:29 PM

Hopefully with the delay, our injured players will be ready by then to help in the final run in

Similarly all teams will have their players back too and we will have a more level playing field. Then we will know for sure where we really stand against all other fully fit teams

loveikan 18-03-2020 08:48 PM

Btw, with the way JM publicly commented on his current players, will he get sack by Levy?
The players also like not happy with him as shown on the field. pf course, he also has a long list of injured players

I think he will

I believe he is a goner and should simply step down from his position. Even if he has the best 11 in the world, he will simply destroy all of them.

he still did not change even after he was sacked by us and then declaring that he will do a self reflection during the period that he is out of job and will change his ways.
