Still work to do but better performance today. Well taken goals.
Playing 4-2-3-1 and having possession against teams that sit back waiting for breakaways, both holding midfielders in this case Fred and McTominay cannot both go up but 1 has to stay back in case the ball is lost. In the first half, balls were lost in midfield, and Fred and McTominay were too far up and Newcastle had chances. |
Next match on Sunday away to Burnley
|
Good partnership of the front trio.
Hope to see them playing more to continue understanding each other better so that they can more lethal. Btw a rare goal from a header from Rashford and an even rarer cross fom Bisaka. |

Were both Martial and Rashford injured? When taken off, they headed back through the tunnel instead of taking their regular seats on the bench. No reports on this except that Mctominay had injured his knee ligament. Yes, we were already leading 4-1, but when both AM and MR taken off to be replaced with JL and JM, almost no more shots on target with the exception of PP trying more efforts. |

Yes we have to rest them for the next 2 matches and I think maybe both of them went straight down the tunnel for special recovery process

Injury updates:
Scotts McTonimay - Awaiting result of scan on knee ligament. No updates when he could return Axel Tuanzebe - Apparently fit for match against Burnley if OGS decides to rest either HM or VL Diogo Dalot - Fit again and may be included in Burnley's match. Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Eric Bailly - Apparently fit again and both are training regularly at Carrington. No updates if they could be played tonight Marcos Rojo - the player that knows how to get to the sick bay nearer the transfer window such that no teams keen to bid for him. Honestly lost count on the number of times he reported injured when transfer window is near |
Interesting statistics....
Last 5 games against Burnley....Drew both home games but won away for the 3 away games. Another one more away victory awaits!!! |
Burnley's way of playing is obvious against all teams, they play with the big forwards and go for free kicks and corners.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; Matic, Fred; James, Pereira, Rashford; Martial
