SM put us 1-0 good goal assist by CR7
Ironically the earliest goal scored this season

2nd goal OG but should be Sancho's goal

lenghan 31-12-2021 05:50 AM

Mcguire constantly being bullied off the ball by Wood

lenghan 31-12-2021 05:51 AM

3rd goal by CR7

Mcguire poor defending leads to Aaron Lennon geeting a goal for Burnley

HT we lead 3-1
Shaw to me is the MOTM for this half
SM also giving a creditable account of himself
Cavani and Greenwood had been rather quiet in this half
Sancho playing better than his previous matches
Bailly also giving good account in his defending but the same cannot be said of Mcguire

2nd half pretty boring

Better performance from the team, especially the first half.

McTominay was MOTM. With Matic as the holding midfielder this allowed him to get forward more which should be the way.

Some of the players still play a safe pass back or sideways when there is a chance to hit it forward for an attack. I am unsure if this is inherited from LVG or Jose but they have to change this mindset.

Burnley's keeper Hennessey played well and made some good saves.

hopefully this year we can start with a bang.

Donny should be leaving as he is still not used!

For selfish reasons. Rangnick will not allow Donny to leave this January unless of course Donny pushes the issue. But doubt DVDB is in his plan
Find it ironical that Rangnick has gone back on his own words. He had maintained that if a player wants to leave, he will NOT stop but for Cavani, RR hsd put a stop to EC moving this Jan
